Thanks to all the Cubs from Masvil and Concorde who joined us on out outdoor adventure at Blackwell Court last week. We had great fun atacking each other's bases and trying to steal the blocks. If you enjoyed this sort of outdoor activity have you thought about coming on camp with us! If you're interested then please do ask your leaders all about it...
CONCORDE - Don't forget that we are NOT meeting on Tuesday this week (7th Oct) but we are meeting on WEDNESDAY 8th.
Concorde & Masvil - don't forget we are not meeting at the school but at the alternative venue as advised by letter and email. Usual times.
You will need to bring waterproofs, a torch, a drink, decent foot-ware (nothing that matters if it gets wet or muddy), uniform is not required, please do not wear jeans. Note: We will be outdoors regardless of the weather so please be prepared for this
The weather was gorgeous, but unfortunately the lack of water caused us an initial problem, but never fear, we found some more!
We had 40 boats entered this year, that is nearly half the Group entering a boat which is fantastic!
The results were announced at the end of the races and were as follows:-
Best Built Captain Underpants built by Leah from Beavers who won £5 Best Named Champion Cruiser built by Adam from Concorde who won £5 Overall Race Winner Daniel from Scouts with his entry Floater who won the cup AND £20!
Many thanks to everyone who supported the event and especially the Parents who came along in support.
A special thank you to the two parents who were helping in the stream with running the event.
Feel free to feed back any comments in the discussion topic that can be found at this link Boat Race Discussion
Jax is really pleased to announce that three new leaders will be joining the scouts at the start of this term. They are Kirsti, Bobbi and Matt and hopefully we'll get to know them really well in the future.
Welcome to St Laurence Scout Group and good luck with the Scouts! You can say hello too by clicking here.
