CUBS MEET THE POLICE

CUBS MEET THE POLICE

This week on Tuesday and Wednesday Masvil and Concorde Cusb met with the local police. They saw their cars, motorbikes, vans, cages, dogs, cameras, uniforms and shield for the Cubs to look at and use and the cubs had a great time using doing a part of their Community Award work. The car sirens and horns were certainly popular! Some Cubs from Masvil even helped to solve a crime, so a huge well done there.

ACTIVE KIDS RESULTS IN

Active KidsACTIVE KIDS: THE BIGGEST 'THANK YOU' EVER!

Firstly I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to each and every person who has helped us collect Active Kids Vouchers this year. We got a whopping 15,206 (so far) and that's just a fraction under last years total (we are still collecting them though, but only for 1 more week)!

We are now going to decide exactly what we want to buy then the kids in our group will be able to benefit from it next year. Thanks again!

Brockhouse Shield

MASVIL AND CONCORDE DO THE BROCKHOUSE:

Congratulations to teams from Masvil and Concorde Cubs who did a fantastic job representing St Laurence Cubs over the weekend at the Brockhouse Shield. Both teams did really well but Masvil just managed to win the tophy for coming in first place! Congratulations!

Both teams are a credit to our group and had a great time learning new things and having fun!

Sponsored Walk 08

Sponsored WalkSPONSORED WALK: BIG THANKS!

A huge thanks from St Laurence Scout Group to the Cubs, Parents and Leaders who endured the sun today and did the sponsored walk, some people did 4 miles, some did 8 and one leader even did 12 miles! (he forgot to get off the second time round!) Wow... Hopefully we will have raised some much needed funds from the walk.

CAR WASH THIS WEEK

CAR WASH: SATURDAY 7TH JUNE

This week St Laurence Scout Group are having a Car Wash at the Pastoral Centre between 10am and 2:30pm. Come along and get your car looking sparkly and clean for the summer!

Beavers are washing 10:00 - 11:30
Cubs are washing 11:30 - 13:00
Scouts are washing 13:00 - 14:30

Parents are welcome to come along and help out - we really need your help too!
